Goals
As a part of the Iron County School District, this Post-High School Program works with severely developmentally disabled adults ages 18-22. These 12 participants may have disabilities such as autism, physical ailments, or low cognitive abilities. Volunteers will assist to work one-on-one with participants and get them connected in community activities.
Volunteers should be over the age of 18, preferably older than the participants themselves. The schedule is flexible and can work around your school and work schedule. LONG term volunteering is preferred, several times a week for a semester or longer.
This is a wonderful opportunity for any pre-health student seeking volunteer experience with this underserved population.
