Continuing Education Calendars
A monthly continuing education calendar is posted by the Utah Department of Health's Training and Education Center. The Center for Rural health works with the Department of Health to identify programs and topics of interest to rural health care providers. Programs are provided in a number of formats:
- Video/CD/DVD of recorded programs
- Archived and live Web streamed programs
- Archived and live telephone presentations
- Video Conferencing and Utah Telehealth Network sites
- Live on-site programs

HPV Immunization Project
The National AHEC Organization received funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for a project to provide education to health professionals regarding the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. The award supports the hiring of a national leadership team, evaluation staff and 10 HPV Regional Coordinators to coordinate activities in each region, assess the environment, work with states and build partnerships. Selected AHEC entities in all 50 states will work to increase awareness as well as train health professionals about the HPV vaccine.
